KT Skylife announced on the 5th that it will start the “Love Antenna” national story contest, which provides UHD TVs and lifetime free viewing rights to welfare facilities and vulnerable groups that need TV viewing.
The Love Antenna contest will accept entries until the 18th, and the results will be announced on July 3rd through the website. To apply, participants must fill out the form posted on the Skylife website, describing the place that needs the Love Antenna and the story, and submit it via email.
“Love Antenna” is KT Skylife’s representative social contribution activity, supporting neighbors in need through the national story contest every year since 2015. The support targets individuals, orphanages, nursing homes, etc., and so far, TVs and viewing rights have been provided to 1,291 locations nationwide.
This year’s national story contest is being conducted in collaboration with the KT Group Hope Sharing Foundation, Korea Association of Welfare Institutions for the Disabled, Korea National Council on Social Welfare, the South-North Hana Foundation, and Kakao Together Value. The stories will be solicited by posting on the websites of each organization and company to reach more neighbors in need. In particular, the South-North Hana Foundation has been added as a cooperating organization for this contest, and stories related to North Korean defectors will also be accepted. Additionally, all funds raised through online donations on Kakao’s “Together Value” website will be donated.
Lee Cheol-ho, Head of External Cooperation at Skylife, said, “The purpose is to guarantee media viewing rights for marginalized neighbors through satellite broadcasting so that they can experience a wider world,” and added, “Through Love Antenna, we will continue to help socially marginalized and vulnerable groups communicate with the rapidly changing world, acquire new information and knowledge, enjoy leisure activities, and nurture their dreams and hopes.”
