On the 4th, Buk-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City announced that it will hold a 'Public-Private Mutual Development Meeting' by inviting about 50 principals from elementary, middle, high, and special schools in the district.
This meeting will be held twice to bring local governments and educational institutions together in one place to seek mutual development based on mutual understanding and cooperation.
On the 5th, there will be a meeting with elementary school principals, and on the 8th, with middle, high, and special school principals to discuss various agendas for improving the local community and Gwangju's educational conditions, such as public-private cooperation projects, school requests, and difficulties in the educational field.
In particular, Buk-gu plans to request active interest and cooperation from schools regarding various cooperation projects, including opening school sports facilities, shared parking lot projects, school uniform sharing projects, and experiential learning utilizing themed tourist resources.
Additionally, to create a safe educational environment, there will be time for communication and exchange to collect various opinions from the field and consider solutions together.
Prior to the meeting, pre-submitted requests from schools will be recorded on management cards and promptly processed after review by relevant departments.
A Buk-gu official said, "We will strive to actively reflect the opinions presented through the meeting in district administration," and added, "We will develop and promote various policies that enable public and private sectors to mutually prosper."
