A landslide occurred in Sichuan Province in southwestern China, causing multiple casualties.
According to Chinese media including Xinhua News Agency on the 4th, a landslide occurred around 6 a.m. in a village in Leshan City, Sichuan Province, resulting in 14 deaths and 5 missing persons. The exact number of injured has not been confirmed.
Authorities stated that more than 180 rescue personnel were deployed immediately after the accident to conduct search operations.
