Chairman Cho Won-tae of Hanjin Group is giving his acceptance speech after receiving an award at the ATW ceremony held at a hotel in Turkey on the 2nd. Cho Won-tae, Chairman of Hanjin Group, received the 2023 Airline Industry Leadership Award at the Air Transport World (ATW) Awards ceremony on the 2nd (local time), the company announced. ATW is a global aviation media outlet that has been organizing an international judging panel since 1974 to select the best airlines and individuals in various fields each year.
Chairman Cho has been recognized for his successful roles since becoming a member of the IATA Executive Committee in 2019 and Chairman of the SkyTeam Board. He is also praised for quickly shifting his mindset and making decisions that successfully overcame the pandemic crisis.
Previously, the airline received awards for Airline of the Year in 2021, Cargo Airline of the Year last year, and has now won awards for three consecutive years. At the ceremony, Chairman Cho said, "I want to share the honor of this award with all customers and employees of Korean Air, as well as our top partner airline, Delta Air Lines."
