CJ CheilJedang Unveils Two Types of Summer Convenience Foods: Memil Makguksu

CJ CheilJedang announced on the 4th that it is launching two new Makguksu products, 'Savory Perilla Oil Makguksu' and 'Refreshing Dongchimi Bibim Makguksu,' to target the summer seasonal noodle market.

The new products allow consumers to easily enjoy Gangwon-do specialty-level Makguksu at home by simply adding sauce, gim (seaweed), and toppings to the boiled noodles. Based on CJ CheilJedang's proprietary noodle-making technology, the noodles contain buckwheat flour made by grinding and roasting whole buckwheat husks, adding a savory and fragrant flavor while preserving the natural color of buckwheat.

The Savory Perilla Oil Makguksu enhances umami with fine gim powder, sesame seeds, and soy sauce, while the Refreshing Dongchimi Bibim Makguksu features a secret sauce made with chopped vegetables, dried pollack, and sesame oil, combined with dongchimi broth aged for 15 days to create a clean and refreshing taste.

The new products are available at large retailers such as E-Mart and Homeplus, as well as CJ CheilJedang's official online store, CJ The Market. To celebrate the product launch, CJ CheilJedang has also prepared an online special event. Until the 20th, CJ The Market will offer up to 25% discounts on the new Makguksu products along with popular summer noodles like 'Dongchimi Mul Naengmyeon' and 'Hamheung Bibim Naengmyeon.'
