At the opening ceremony combined with a fashion show at 7:30 PM on the first day of the festival, various garments developed and produced with Punggi In-gyeon were introduced, including comfortable loungewear, trendy casual wear, and family looks that families can wear together.
At the sales booths set up at the venue, high-priced In-gyeon products such as clothing and bedding were sold at affordable prices, attracting crowds of citizens purchasing In-gyeon products, making the place extremely crowded throughout the two days.
Also, many citizens visited the exhibition and experience booths as well as the In-gyeon photo zone, allowing visitors to feel the high popularity of Punggi In-gyeon.
Park Jeong-rak, Director of Corporate Support, said, “We prepared this event to directly promote Punggi In-gyeon products, which are especially popular in summer, to consumers in large cities,” adding, “During the hot summer, clothing or bedding made from In-gyeon can provide cooling beyond expectations.”

Punggi In-gyeon is a pure plant-based natural fiber made from threads extracted from trees and is a representative specialty product of the Yeongju region. It is light, cool, does not cling to the body when worn, and has a refreshing texture with good ventilation, making it good for the skin. It is called the ‘refrigerator fiber’ and is considered the best material for hot summers.
