Through this agreement, Woowa Brothers plans to operate a ‘Platform Rider Win-Win Support System’ that takes into account the characteristics of platform riders who operate freely whenever they want. The intention is to raise the level of support compared to the existing collective agreement and create a customized environment that allows platform riders to continue their delivery activities. While there is a consensus on increasing the sustainability of riders who consistently work, there was also an opinion that activities considering win-win cooperation should be encouraged.
Among Baemin riders who have completed a certain number of deliveries annually through Baemin Connect, those who have completed Baemin Rider School safety training and have no history of license suspension or higher penalties are eligible for the Platform Rider Win-Win Support System. They must also contribute to social and environmental coexistence, such as submitting motorcycle environmental inspections.
Eligible riders will receive support payments if they complete a certain number of deliveries each month. While strengthening the compensation level for riders who meet delivery conditions compared to the existing collective agreement, the system also aims to encourage sustainable delivery methods. In particular, Woowa Brothers plans to introduce policies that consider periods when riders are unable to meet the registration criteria for the win-win support system due to unavoidable circumstances such as accidents during delivery.
Along with operating the support system, Woowa Brothers urged the Delivery Platform Labor Union to participate in activities to improve platform delivery services, such as spreading safety rules to riders and improving delivery environments, and promised to actively provide support accordingly. Kim Byung-woo, CEO of Woowa Brothers, said, "We will continue to strive to build a sustainable delivery industry model that considers win-win cooperation."
