Crowds 'Bustling' at Nowon Handmade Beer Festival

Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon District, attended the Nowon Beer Festival (NBF) held at Hwarangdae Railroad Park on the afternoon of the 2nd.

A total of 18 breweries participated in the Nowon Beer Festival. Visitors could taste and purchase 150 types of craft beers from famous breweries nationwide, including ‘Vaneheim,’ a first-generation domestic craft beer brewery that has maintained its legacy in Nowon District for over 19 years, and the ‘Nowon Craft Beer Cooperative,’ which represents Nowon.

For this festival, local breweries collaborated to create a special signature beer (NBF). The district plans to brew a signature beer each year to represent that year’s festival and share it with residents.

At 8 p.m. on the 2nd, a performance by hip-hop duo Dynamic Duo elevated the festival’s atmosphere. On the 3rd, a joint performance by university clubs in the area and an EDM stage are scheduled to create a youthful and vibrant atmosphere.

Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon District, said, “The Nowon Beer Festival, introduced for the first time this year, is especially meaningful as it was prepared over a long period through collaboration among local breweries, small business owners, and university students from the planning stage. We will do our best to operate the festival so that the Nowon Beer Festival can establish itself as a cultural brand representing the district.”
