Gangseo-gu, Seoul, Holds Award Ceremony for Gyeomjae National Drawing Contest

Gyeomjae Jeong Seon Dream Trees Gathered in One Place... 36 Elementary, Middle, and High School Students Honored



Dahee Park of Deokwon Arts High School, Kyuyun Park of Yeomchang Middle School, and Jiyeon Kang of Seoul Sumyeong Elementary School Win Grand Prize


Gangseo-gu, Seoul, held the award ceremony for the "18th Gyeomjae National Drawing Contest" at the Gyeomjae Jeongseon Art Museum at 5 p.m. on the 2nd.


The ceremony was attended by Park Dae-woo, Acting Mayor of Gangseo-gu, Choi Dong-cheol, Chairman of the Gangseo-gu Council, award-winning students and their parents, totaling about 100 people. Key figures from the local cultural community, including Kim Jin-ho, Director of Gangseo Cultural Center, and Yoon Hee-soo, President of Gangseo Art Association, also graced the event.


Acting Mayor Park Dae-woo presented awards and congratulated three Grand Prize winners: Park Da-hee from Deokwon Arts High School, Park Gyu-yeon from Yeomchang Middle School, and Kang Ji-yeon from Seoul Sumyeong Elementary School.


At the ceremony, a total of 36 students from elementary, middle, and high schools received honors, including 3 Grand Prizes, 3 Gold Prizes, 6 Silver Prizes, 9 Bronze Prizes, 12 Encouragement Awards, and 3 Honorable Mentions.


After the ceremony, Acting Mayor Park toured the award-winning works displayed on the third floor of the Gyeomjae Jeongseon Art Museum with the selected students.


Acting Mayor Park said, "I applaud the passion and talent of all the students who achieved excellent results in this contest," adding, "We will continue to actively support honoring the artistic spirit of Gyeomjae Jeong Seon and enabling many students to fully express their talents."


The "18th Gyeomjae National Drawing Contest," held on the 13th of last month, saw the participation of about 500 elementary, middle, and high school students nationwide, showcasing their refined artistic skills.
