Gunsan University and Gunsan Medical Center Join Hands for Health Management Medical Services

On the afternoon of the 2nd, the Korea National University of Gunsan (President Lee Jang-ho) and Jeonbuk-do Gunsan Medical Center (Director Jo Jun-pil) signed a business agreement to establish a mutual cooperation system in the first small conference room on the 4th floor of the university headquarters.


According to Gunsan National University, the agreement aims to provide the best medical services for the development of the local community and the health management of faculty, staff, and students. The main contents include mutual cooperation for nurturing local talents, mutual cooperation to improve the quality of education and activate research, and various exchanges and cooperation such as linking and supporting various educational programs to revitalize local employment and improve health levels.

Attending the signing ceremony were Lee Jang-ho, President of Korea National University of Gunsan; Go Seok-in, Director of Admissions; Jang Min-seok, Director of Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation; Seol Nam-o, Head of Gunsan Small Giant Special Zone Promotion Project Group; Jo Jun-pil, Director of Jeonbuk-do Gunsan Medical Center; Kang Man-sik, Head of Management Department; and Kim Soon-i, Head of Nursing Department.


With this agreement, current students and faculty of Korea National University of Gunsan will receive discount benefits such as a 20% reduction in non-insured medical fees for outpatient and inpatient treatment at Gunsan Medical Center, a 30% discount on comprehensive health checkups (10 types), and a 10% discount on funeral expenses borne by the individual when using the funeral hall.


President Lee Jang-ho stated, “Through the agreement between the two institutions, let us create a new model in improving medical services and nurturing talents in the local community,” and added, “We will further strengthen student internships and academic exchanges with Gunsan Medical Center in the future.”


Director Jo Jun-pil said, “With the purpose of nurturing local talents and improving students’ health levels, we have newly signed this business agreement,” and added, “We will create opportunities to contribute to improving the health of local residents by mutually supporting the values pursued by Korea National University of Gunsan and Gunsan Medical Center.”
