Fifteen researchers from Pukyong National University were finally selected for the 2023 Science and Engineering Academic Balance Development Support Project (Creative and Challenging Research Foundation) by the Ministry of Education and the National Research Foundation of Korea.
The Creative and Challenging Research Foundation project supports stable research opportunities to enable university research professionals to independently and creatively challenge research.
In this project, a total of 15 researchers affiliated with Pukyong National University, including research professors, contract professors, and postdoctoral researchers from departments, divisions, research institutes, and project groups, were selected.
The final selectees include Jinyoung Park (Department of Electrical and Electronic Software Engineering), Thangavel Balamurugan (Smart Gym-based Active Senior Healthcare Translational Research Center), Kwisoo Kim (Basic Science Research Institute), Hyunju Kim (Active Fault and Earthquake Disaster Mitigation Research Institute), and Juhyun Oh (Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation), among others.
With this selection, they will receive research funding of up to 70 million KRW per year for one to three years to carry out their unique research activities.
