Gyeongnam Information University (President Kim Dae-sik) Energy New Industry Innovation Convergence College Project Group held the inauguration ceremony for the 2023 Supporters 1st Generation and is starting full-scale activities.
The project group selected 8 students from the Department of Chemical and Energy Engineering as the ‘2023 Energy New Industry Supporters 1st Generation’ through document screening and interviews.
They will engage in activities aimed at promoting and spreading the achievements of the Energy New Industry field within the Advanced Field Innovation Convergence College Project.

Project Group Leader Heo Gwang-seon said, “The supporters’ activities will be a great opportunity to effectively promote the advanced field of the energy new industry,” adding, “We hope that the customized promotion and assistant activities of the Energy New Industry Supporters will make it easy for students and the general public to approach the project.”
The Advanced Field Innovation Convergence College Project is a program led by the Ministry of Education and the National Research Foundation of Korea, designed to break down boundaries between universities and departments, allowing any student, regardless of major, to take courses in desired new technology fields, thereby fostering advanced talent.
Gyeongnam Information University is fulfilling its role as a specialized college in the Energy New Industry field and is currently conducting the third-year phase of the project.
