Before its official release, the film held paid preview screenings over the Buddha's Birthday holiday from May 27 to 29, attracting around 480,000 viewers and bringing the cumulative audience to 1,224,208.

The "The Outlaws" series has been a successful Korean action franchise, with the first film released in 2017 drawing 6.88 million viewers, and the second film, released last May, surpassing 10 million viewers, setting the record for the highest-grossing Korean film since the COVID-19 pandemic. This has generated high expectations for the franchise.

"The Outlaws 3," which premiered the day before, follows detective Ma Seok-do (Ma Dong-seok) as he transfers to the Seoul Metropolitan Investigation Unit. The story revolves around his operation to capture Joo Seong-cheol (Lee Joon-hyuk), who is behind a new type of drug crime, and another villain, Ricky (Aoki Munetaka), involved in the drug case. This time, Lee Joon-hyuk and Aoki Munetaka play antagonists opposing detective Ma Dong-seok.

During the same period, Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume 3" attracted 20,763 viewers, ranking second; "Fast & Furious: Ride or Die" drew about 18,000 viewers, ranking third; and "The Little Mermaid" attracted about 14,000 viewers, ranking fourth.

The total number of moviegoers that day was recorded at 831,368.
