Nexon's MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) "Prasia Jeongi," which has reached its 50th day since launch, has entered a long-term success trajectory.
Prasia Jeongi is gaining popularity with its differentiated content. The proportion of PC sales accounts for nearly 70% of total revenue. Since its release, it has consistently maintained a top ranking in application markets, raising expectations that it will serve as Nexon's new core intellectual property (IP).
Prasia Jeongi Captivates the 20s and 30s
Prasia Jeongi aims to be a game that anyone can enjoy anytime, anywhere. The threshold has been lowered so that players can own and manage 21 bases within the game. It is designed to allow many users to realize the dream of siege warfare, which was previously enjoyed only by a small elite group.
Given the MMORPG genre's characteristic of requiring long hours of play, an 'Assist Mode' was applied to reduce the burden for users who find continuous play difficult, allowing simple character control via mobile phones even without logging into the game.
While following the basic grammar of MMORPGs, Prasia Jeongi added meticulous efforts to overcome the genre's limitations, attracting broad participation from not only middle-aged users but also younger generations. Unlike existing MMORPGs, which mostly consist of middle-aged users with purchasing power, Prasia Jeongi has a high proportion of users in their 20s and 30s. To sustain long-term success, rapid feedback through real-time monitoring and close communication to enhance user satisfaction were also effective.
Despite being a new title launched as a completely new IP rather than based on an original work, Prasia Jeongi is gaining momentum and establishing itself as Nexon's next-generation core IP. Along with high praise for its well-crafted gameplay, remarkable achievements continue.
Since it consistently maintains top rankings in major mobile app markets such as the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, it is evaluated as having successfully captured both platforms by achieving successful results on PC and mobile, not limited to a single platform.
Rising Indicators with the Start of MMORPG’s Charm, ‘Base Wars’
Prasia Jeongi sequentially opened 21 bases, initiating large-scale wars. Both user access trends and revenue indicators in May, one month after service began, rose compared to immediately after launch, showing potential for long-term success.
Additionally, the ‘Nexon Creators’ system, where creators and players communicate through Prasia Jeongi, is actively operated, creating various forms of enjoyment. More than 400 creators consistently engage and interact with users. With the official launch of ‘Nexon Creators’ and the introduction of a seasonal creator ranking system and the expansion of the highest rank, ‘BLACK rank,’ creators and players communicate in real time, providing the fun of mutual growth and coexistence.
Kim Dae-hwon, Vice President of Nexon’s New Development Division, stated, “’Prasia Jeongi’ is a game developed with great care in every aspect so that anyone can enjoy the inherent fun of MMORPGs depicted in the Prasia world. It is an IP that shows a differentiated appearance and a new paradigm compared to existing MMORPGs,” adding, “As a representative MMORPG of Nexon, we will do our best to continuously provide players with the highest level of experience.”
