KG Mobility announced on the 1st that it sold a total of 9,860 units in May. This is a 19.1% increase compared to the same period last year.
Domestic sales reached 4,809 units. Although domestic sales decreased compared to the previous month due to factors such as weakened consumer sentiment, they increased by 12.5% compared to the same month last year. To expand domestic sales volume, KG Mobility introduced the Rexton New Arena and Rexton Sports & Khan Coolmen last month, which feature significant improvements in interior design and product quality. Starting today, they have launched the The New Tivoli to further target the market.
Exports recorded 5,051 units. This marks the first time in seven months since October last year (5,336 units) that exports surpassed 5,000 units. This is a 26.1% increase compared to the same month last year. KG Mobility is accelerating its efforts to capture the global market to continue the upward trend in export volume. The KD cooperation project with Saudi Arabia's SNAM will begin in September this year. In February, KG Mobility signed an export contract with UAE's NGT. In March, they signed a KD export contract with Vietnam's Kim Long Motors for 15,000 units annually starting in 2024, totaling 210,000 units by 2029.
KG Mobility stated, “Exports, led by increased shipments of Torres, have surpassed 5,000 units for the first time in seven months, driving overall sales growth.” They added, “Along with various sales strategies aligned with the launch of improved product models such as the Rexton New Arena, Rexton Sports & Khan Coolmen, and The New Tivoli, we will further increase sales volume through strengthened global market penetration.”
