Grand Kensington Aewol Opening in 2025
Development of Hotel, Themed Gardens, and Hanok Village
E-Land Theme Park Jeju is developing an international cultural complex in Aewol, Jeju Island. Analysts say that the 'blue-chip competition' in Jeju's luxury resort market has officially begun.
According to E-Land on the 1st, E-Land Theme Park Jeju plans to build the luxury resort Grand Kensington Aewol, a world theme garden, a Hanok village, and an international art museum on the site around Cheondeok-ro in Eoeum-ri, Aewol-eup, Jeju City. As the first phase of the project, Grand Kensington Aewol will open in 2025, followed by the sequential opening of the remaining facilities.
E-Land Theme Park Jeju, a subsidiary of E-Land Park, was selected in 2013 as the developer for an international cultural complex spanning 588,000㎡ in the Aewol-eup area of Jeju. Since then, it has been dedicated to phased development projects over the past 10 years. The international cultural complex to be created this time is expected to be a large-scale project including high-end leisure and cultural facilities.
Grand Kensington Aewol is designed with the concept of a 'luxury pool villa resort in the great outdoors,' utilizing the existing sloped terrain for eco-friendly architecture. The resort's rooms are primarily low-rise to secure the best views. The interior and exterior designs will fully embody the sensibility of Jeju.
