From 6:30 PM on the 2nd at Pungam Hosu Park
The Gwangju Seo-gu Council of the National Unification Advisory Council (Council Chairman Im Byeongsik) announced on the 1st that it will hold a 'Peaceful Unification Prayer Fusion Gugak Concert' at 6:30 PM on the 2nd at Pungam Lake Park outdoor park.
Co-hosted with Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, this event was prepared to wish for peaceful inter-Korean unification together with citizens and to provide residents with opportunities to enjoy culture. This is the second time this year, and it is planned to be held annually.
Many residents, including heads of various institutions and organizations as well as members of the National Assembly, will attend, filling the program with diverse performances ranging from popular music that allows communication and empathy toward 'peaceful unification' to gugak performances, encouraging audience participation.
An official stated, "It will establish itself as a representative regional unification movement and cultural arts festival that not only possesses artistic and creative qualities that all residents can enjoy and appreciate but also performs songs and lyrics hoping for peaceful unification."
