"The Car Best Suited for Korea, Similar to Italy"
CEO and Others Visit Korea
‘Universo Ferrari,’ an exhibition that offers a comprehensive look at Ferrari's history, will be held for four days starting from the 1st at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Seoul. This exhibition is the third to be held worldwide, following Italy and Australia, and is the first in Asia.
Universo Ferrari is organized into themed spaces that showcase Ferrari's identity and heritage. Nineteen vehicles, including F1 race cars, and three prototype models are on display. The exhibition is conducted as a guided tour lasting about an hour, with some areas featuring guides from the Italian headquarters who have traveled to Korea.
In the Racing Zone where the exhibition begins, the 248 F1, which Scuderia Ferrari competed with in the 2006 F1 season, is displayed. In the following Classiche Zone, visitors can see cars maintained through the Ferrari Classiche program, which meticulously restores and certifies representative models such as Enzo Ferrari and F40.
In the Community Zone, race cars related to customer racing programs for motorsport beginners, such as Corse Clienti, are exhibited. The Tailor Made Zone introduces the Ferrari Tailor Made program, which offers customized services, and features models like the Monza SP2.
In the final Latest Lineup Zone, the brand’s newest products, including the Purosangue and 296 GTS launched domestically last year, are displayed. The Roma Spider is also unveiled for the first time in Korea.
On this day, the Roma Spider was also revealed for the first time in Korea. Attendees included Benedetto Vigna, Ferrari CEO; Enrico Galliera, Ferrari CMO; Dieter Nechtel, Head of Far East and Middle East; and Kim Kwang-chul, CEO of FMK.
This vehicle is a convertible model that inherits the characteristics of the Roma car, known as La Nova Dolce Vita (The New Sweet Life). Ferrari describes it as a “car with two souls,” combining the DNA of a Ferrari supercar with convenience. The engine is located in the front, and it is the first Ferrari in 54 years to feature a soft top. Enrico Galliera, CMO, explained, “Korea, with its diverse terrain and four distinct seasons, is similar to Italy,” adding, “The Roma Spider is the most suitable car for Korea, which is unique and distinctive.”
Additionally, CEO Benedetto Vigna invited graduate students from Seoul National University’s College of Engineering to a discussion on the future of the automotive industry, focusing on innovation, technology, and sustainability.
This exhibition is held as a customer event from the 1st to the 3rd. On the final day, the 4th, it will be open to the general public. Tickets sold out within one minute after going on sale online on the 15th of last month.
