Dongshin University Produces 7th Grade National Civil Service Local Talent Trainee Officers

Civil and Environmental Engineering's Eunbin Lee Passes in Technology Field

Three Consecutive Years from 2019 to 2021... Total of 12 Graduates

A graduate of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Dongshin University has been finally selected in the ‘2023 National Government Local Talent Grade 7 Trainee Recruitment Examination’ organized by the Ministry of Personnel Management.


According to Dongshin University on the 1st, Eunbin Lee, who graduated in February 2022, applied in the technical field and enjoyed the joy of passing.

The National Government Local Talent Grade 7 Trainee Recruitment Examination allows outstanding students within the top 10% of their department's grades to apply with a university recommendation, and final selection is made through the first written exam (PSAT, Constitution), second document screening, and third interview.


Since the exam was first held in 2005, Dongshin University has produced a total of 12 successful candidates: 1 in 2006, 1 in 2009, 1 in 2012, 2 in 2014, 2 in 2015, 1 in 2017, 1 in 2019, 1 in 2020, and 1 in 2021.


To this end, the university operates employment training programs such as ‘DS STAR’ and the ‘Daejeong Program’ to support students in meeting the eligibility requirements for the Grade 7 trainee civil servant recruitment exam, including obtaining a TOEIC score of 700 or higher and a Level 2 Korean History Proficiency Test certificate.


In fact, Ms. Lee also qualified by obtaining Level 1 in Korean History and a TOEIC score above 700 through these programs.


Additionally, she participated in about ten extracurricular programs such as ▲job-specific specialization ▲global self-directed learning ▲overseas employment briefings ▲DS personality education certification, developing key evaluation factors for the interview exam including ▲the mindset as a public official ▲manners, conduct, and sincerity ▲creativity and willpower ▲professional knowledge and application ability.


Ms. Lee will work as a trainee for one year and then be appointed as a National Government Grade 7 civil servant through an appointment review.


Yang Ilseung, Director of Student Employment Support at Dongshin University, said, “We will actively support students to pass not only the Local Talent Grade 7 trainee civil servant exam but also public enterprises in innovation cities and large corporations.”
