Plans to Promote with Excellence Certification Marks
The Life Insurance Association and the General Insurance Association have selected 30,000 outstanding certified planners this year. The aim is to enhance industry trust by conducting complete sales and sound recruitment activities.
On the 1st, the Life and General Insurance Associations announced that they selected 30,461 outstanding certified planners this year (13,104 in life insurance, 17,357 in general insurance). The certification period is one year from today.
Both associations have been operating this system since 2008. They have selected planners affiliated with life and general insurance companies (exclusive individual agencies) and sales companies based on major criteria such as long-term service and ethical sales practices.
Outstanding certified planners must have been active in sales at the same insurance company for more than three years, have zero cases of incomplete sales, maintain a 90% or higher insurance contract retention rate at the 13th month (1 year), and an 80% or higher retention rate at the 25th month (2 years). They must also have no disciplinary history related to violations of the Insurance Business Act or other regulations in the past three years.
Life insurance outstanding certified planners account for 14.9% of all candidates, totaling 13,104, an increase of 635 from the previous year. Their average annual income is 99.9 million KRW, with average insurance contract retention rates of 98.1% at the 13th month and 93.1% at the 25th month. Among them, 4,321 planners received certification for the first time this year, and 3,898 planners have been certified for five consecutive years. Since the system's introduction, 100 planners have received outstanding certification annually.
General insurance outstanding certified planners account for 15.0% of all candidates, totaling 17,357. Their average annual income is 102.29 million KRW, with average contract retention rates of 97.0% at the 13th month and 90.8% at the 25th month. Among them, 3,200 planners were selected for the first time this year, and 1,243 planners have been selected for five consecutive years. Since the system's introduction, 673 planners have been selected as outstanding certified planners every year without exception.
The status of outstanding certified planners can be checked on the 'Life Insurance Outstanding Certified Planners' website and the 'General Insurance Hall of Fame' website. Both associations provide certification marks to outstanding certified planners and plan to promote them through YouTube channels and other media.
