[Breaking] Supreme Court: "2015 Korea-Japan Comfort Women Agreement Documents Not Subject to Disclosure"

[Breaking] Supreme Court: "2015 Korea-Japan Comfort Women Agreement Documents Not Subject to Disclosure"

On the 1st, the Supreme Court ruled in the final appeal of lawyer A, a member of Minbyun, who filed a lawsuit against the Minister of Foreign Affairs to cancel the non-disclosure of information, that there was no problem with the government's decision not to disclose information about documents created during the process of reaching an agreement related to the victims of Japanese military sexual slavery between Korea and Japan in 2015.

The Supreme Court found no issue with the second trial's ruling, which judged that considering the serious diplomatic problems that could arise if the information were disclosed, the public interest gained by not disclosing it outweighed the benefits of disclosure.
