3-on-3 Street Basketball Tournament Held at Sinchon Yonsei-ro

Seodaemun-gu to Host 3-on-3 Street Basketball Tournament at Special Court on Yonsei-ro for 3 Days

12 Teams Compete Across 4 Divisions (Men's College, High School, Middle School, Women's College) with 3 Teams Each

3 Event Games Featuring Seodaemun-gu Office Women's Basketball Team Players and General Public

This coming weekend, the youthful street of Sinchon Yonsei-ro will transform into an outdoor basketball court.

Seodaemun-gu (Mayor Lee Seongheon) announced that on the 3rd, from 3 PM to 9 PM, it will hold the ‘Alive Sinchon! Freestyle 3-on-3 Street Basketball Tournament’ at a special court on Sinchon Yonsei-ro.

Organized by the Korea 3-on-3 Basketball Federation, the tournament will feature 12 teams competing for the championship across 4 divisions (Men's College, High School, Middle School, Women's College), with 3 teams in each division.

Students from Kyung Hee University, Myongji University, Yonsei University, Ewha Womans University, Gajaeul High School, Inwang Middle School, Inchang Middle School, and others will participate, with Seodaemun Love Gift Certificates (local currency) awarded to the winning team and the 2nd and 3rd place teams.

Notably, 3 event teams composed of one player from the Seodaemun-gu Office Women's Basketball Team and two general public members will also play, adding interest and excitement for the spectators. Additionally, 1-on-1 and 2-on-2 games for middle and high school students will be held.

In the evening, DJ SOPHI will perform live, providing enjoyment for citizens out in Sinchon on Saturday night.

Due to the ‘3-on-3 Street Basketball Tournament’ and the ‘Sinchon Startup Expo’ (June 3rd, 10 AM to 3 PM) held just before, vehicle traffic on Yonsei-ro will be restricted from 4 AM to midnight on the 3rd.
