A service combining webtoons and installment savings has been launched. It is called '26-Week Installment Savings with Kakao Webtoon,' created through a partnership between Kakao Entertainment and Kakao Bank. This product combines Kakao Bank's existing financial product '26-Week Installment Savings' with benefits such as Kakao Webtoon cash. Kakao Bank's '26-Week Installment Savings' allows customers to select one of 1,000 KRW, 2,000 KRW, 3,000 KRW, 5,000 KRW, or 10,000 KRW as the initial weekly deposit amount, which then automatically increases by that amount each week for savings.

On the 1st, Kakao Entertainment announced, "The service opened at 10 a.m. on the 1st." Customers who open an installment savings account and transfer their weekly deposits for 26 weeks will receive Kakao Bank's applied interest rate benefits of up to 7% per annum, plus Kakao Webtoon cash worth up to 20,000 KRW distributed over seven installments. This cash can be freely used to enjoy Kakao Webtoon works. The subscription period is from the 1st to the 30th. Only one account can be opened per person.

Previously, in December 2021, Kakao Entertainment conducted ‘26-Week Installment Savings with Kakao Page’ through Kakao Page. The collaboration between webtoon IP and the installment savings product attracted attention, with 100,000 accounts opened within 14 hours at a rate of two accounts per second on the launch day. Various records were broken, including an average of 43,000 accounts opened daily, reaching 606,000 accounts in just two weeks.

An event to celebrate the launch of this service has also been prepared. Customers who open an account can participate in a 100% winning lucky draw. They will receive either a ‘Soap Bubble Stick Chunsik’ (30,000 people) or 1,000 Kakao Webtoon cash with a 100% chance. Additionally, a reward event is underway where new customers or those who have not logged in for more than 14 days on Kakao Webtoon and Kakao Page can enter a special code revealed by Kakao Bank to receive approximately 3,000 KRW worth of cash per app.

Newly created characters Ryan and Chunsik have also been introduced to commemorate this project. Two types of characters, ‘Webtoon Binge-Watching Chunsik’ and ‘Manjjitnam Ryan,’ decorate various parts of the ‘26-Week Installment Savings with Kakao Webtoon’ project.
