Firefighters Lee Hose and Eom Seunghyun from Gimpo Fire Station and Yangju Fire Station were respectively selected as Gyeonggi-do's top fit firefighters.

The Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters announced on the 1st that it held the '2023 Fit Firefighter Selection Contest' on the 31st of last month at the Gyeonggi Fire School auditorium to build a more trusted image of Gyeonggi firefighters at disaster sites based on strong physical fitness.

On the day of the contest, 16 contestants from 12 fire stations across the province competed, showcasing the skills they had honed.

The contest proceeded in three rounds: the first round involved a fire uniform inspection where contestants took prescribed poses shirtless and wearing fire pants; the second round was a uniform inspection with contestants posing in the standard uniform; and the third round was the final comparison judging where contestants took poses designated by the judges.
