Police "Plan to Request Mobile Phone Forensic Analysis"
A foreigner who was illegally filming a woman on the street in Sillim-dong, Gwanak-gu, Seoul was quickly caught thanks to the sharp eyes of the police.
According to a report compiled by Asia Economy on the 1st, the Gwanak Police Station in Seoul has booked a foreigner in his 30s, Mr. A, on charges of violating the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment, etc. of Sexual Crimes (filming using a camera) and is currently investigating.
Mr. A is suspected of secretly filming a woman's legs with his mobile phone on the street in Sillim-dong, Gwanak-gu, Seoul on the 29th of last month.
Police Sergeant Jeong Won-sik, belonging to the Public Relations Office of the National Police Agency, who witnessed the scene, immediately caught Mr. A and handed him over to the local police station.
A police official stated, "We plan to request forensic analysis of the mobile phone to confirm additional charges," and added, "We will ascertain the exact circumstances of the incident."
