Plans for Those Aged 34 and Under, Offering Various Benefits
SK Telecom launched the ‘0 Youth Plan’ for customers aged 34 and under on the 1st. The '0 (Young) Youth Plan' is a 5G plan available to those in their 30s, and it is the only one among the three major carriers.
SKT increased the data allowance by up to 50GB at the same price as existing 5G plans. Additionally, customers can change their plans while maintaining contract and bundle discounts. SKT also enhanced benefits reflecting young people’s data usage patterns and lifestyle trends.
Up to 50GB Additional Data, 50% Discount on Coffee, Movies, and Roaming
SKT’s '0 Youth Plan' consists of a total of 11 types. On this day, seven types of the '0 Youth Plan' were introduced, and four more 'customized plans' will be added on the 1st of next month. The key feature of the '0 Youth Plan' is that the data allowance has been increased by 20% to 50% compared to existing general plans. The maximum additional data provided is 50GB. For example, the ‘Youth69’ plan, priced at 69,000 KRW per month, offers 160GB of data, which is 50GB more than the general 5G plan with the same price (110GB).
Moreover, shared and tethering data have been expanded to provide up to 100GB. SKT has integrated the previously separated data limits for shared (joint use) and tethering data, allowing customers to flexibly use data according to their needs.
Benefits closely tied to daily life have also been significantly enhanced. Users of the '0 Youth Plan' receive a 50% discount coupon for one coffee (Americano or Caffe Latte) per month at eight coffee franchises, and a 50% discount on one movie ticket (Lotte Cinema) per month. These benefits are applied separately from T Membership benefits.
Roaming charges are also discounted by 50%. When '0 Youth Plan' users subscribe to SKT’s roaming-only ‘baro’ plan, the 50% discount is applied automatically without any separate application process. There is no limit on the number of times, and the discount is available whenever the baro plan is used.
Seven types of the '0 Youth Direct Plan' were also launched. This is an online-only plan that offers the same benefits as the 0 Youth Plan but at about 30% lower monthly fees.
Expanded '0 Day' Benefits
SKT is launching the 'More Benefits for Youth' campaign to significantly enhance benefits for the younger generation. The ‘0 day’ benefits will be expanded. ‘0 day’ is a program that offers free or discounted benefits to T Membership subscribers aged 13 to 34. In addition to the three uses per month on dates containing the digit zero, an 'Everyday' benefit has been added, allowing one more use per month regardless of the date.
‘Bultina Market,’ which sells items tailored to the tastes and trends of the youth generation, will also be launched. Bultina Market will feature various products co-created by famous celebrities and popular brands, such as the non-alcoholic beer ‘Bitjuseyoung,’ a collaboration between singer Zico and beer company Seven Brau. T Membership customers will receive special discounts and priority purchase opportunities for limited edition products. The non-alcoholic beer ‘Bitjuseyoung’ will be available for sale at 7 p.m. on the 8th of this month.
Additional benefits will be given to early subscribers. Users of the '0 Youth Plan' will receive a 10,000 KRW discount coupon for the online fashion platform Musinsa and a 5,000 KRW discount coupon for UT Taxi. Gifticons with a 100% winning chance will also be provided to the first 250,000 subscribers.
Furthermore, from June to the end of November, the data allowance for shared and tethering data will be doubled for the youth generation who frequently use smart devices such as tablet PCs. During June and July, customers who subscribe to or change to the 0 Youth Plan at SKT’s official certified agencies will be entered into a draw to win one BMW Mini Cooper electric car worth approximately 50 million KRW.
