Homeplus Celebrates Yukyuk Day with 'WOW Hanwoo Festa'

Homeplus announced on the 1st that it will hold the 'WOW Hanwoo Festa' in celebration of Yukyuk Day, offering Hanwoo beef at discounts of up to 50%.

This event is part of the 2023 Proud Project, designed to ease the burden on customers' shopping baskets amid high inflation. Homeplus plans to offer all Nonghyup Ansim Hanwoo products at discounted prices on specific days until the 7th. When paying with event cards at large marts, customers can enjoy a 50% discount on the 1st and 2nd, and up to 40% discount from the 3rd to the 7th. Online, all customers can receive up to 40% off from the 3rd to the 6th, and up to 50% off on the 7th. The Nonghyup Ansim Hanwoo handled by Homeplus is a high-quality and flavorful product that has passed DNA testing and antibiotic residue inspections.

Domestic pork will also be sold. On the 3rd and 4th, for two days, 'Pomeokdwae,' pork raised on grapes domestically, will be sold at a 40% discount to My Homeplus membership holders at large marts and at a 30% discount to online members. Pomeokdwae is pork from pigs fed fermented grape skin feed in Chungcheong Province, known for its tender meat texture.

A Homeplus representative said, "We organized this event to alleviate soaring livestock prices and actively capture demand during the upcoming holiday weekend. By offering meat, one of the essential foods on the dining table, at up to half price, we hope to reduce customers' shopping burdens and contribute to revitalizing domestic meat sales."
