June 3-6: 4-Day Event
Samyang Food Group's Samyang Ranch, the largest pasture farm in Asia, announced on the 1st that it will hold the 'Grass Wave Festival' for tourists for four days from the 3rd to the 6th to welcome early summer.
This festival is themed around healthy grass growing in rich soil and the cool mountain breeze of Daegwallyeong, featuring experience programs, busking performances, and a local market to provide various memories for customers with children and families.
At the temporarily opened green pasture of Samyang Ranch, visitors can enjoy a grass sledding experience that allows them to fully feel the nature of Daegwallyeong, including soil, grass, and wind. The 'Wind Relaxation Zone,' which offers complete rest amid the waving grass fields, will also be operated. Additionally, events where visitors can take commemorative photos with animal mascots appearing throughout the ranch, an orienteering program using maps and compasses to complete missions, and busking performances centered around Cheongyeon Yujokwon, home to centuries-old yew trees and wildflowers, are prepared.
Moreover, a local market will be opened in collaboration with regional F&B brands from Pyeongchang County. Elim Coffee, which has Gangwon Province's first European barista judge, will sell its signature menu, 'Memericano (buckwheat + Americano),' a blend of Pyeongchang buckwheat and coffee beans, along with distinctive desserts. At the White Crow booth, visitors can taste 'Wind Hill Pyeongchang Gold Ale,' a collaborative product with Samyang Ranch, and 'Buckwheat Coolbuck Lager,' a unique craft beer made using buckwheat, as well as experience various local foods.
Participation in the festival is open to all visitors using Samyang Ranch, and except for some programs that require a participation fee, all events are free of charge. Except for specific programs with set times such as busking performances, the festival operates from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. However, operating hours may vary depending on weather conditions, and detailed information can be found on the official Samyang Ranch website.
