‘Guro-gu Social Economy Social Market’ Held

‘Guro-gu Social Economy Social Market’ to be held on the 3rd at Oryu-dong Station Plaza

Promotion and sale of social economy enterprise products, fair trade products, and eco-friendly items based in Guro-gu

Abundant experiential activities such as cookie icing, pottery experience, pop-up book making, and Dokdo puzzle assembling

Guro-gu (Mayor Moon Heon-il) announced that the ‘2023 Guro-gu Social Economy Social Market’ to revitalize the social economy will be held on the 3rd from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Oryu-dong Station Plaza (Exit 3).

Co-hosted by the Guro Social Economy Integrated Support Center and the Guro Social Economy Social Cooperative, the ‘Guro-gu Social Economy Social Market’ has been held annually to provide opportunities for exchange and harmony among social economy organizations and to increase residents’ understanding and interest in the social economy.

This year, 19 social economy enterprises and institutions based in Guro-gu will participate to promote and sell social economy products, fair trade products, and eco-friendly items.

The district expects this to support the expansion of sales channels for social economy enterprises and provide a great opportunity for residents who have been interested in the social economy to purchase high-quality products at reasonable prices.

About 1,500 people, including Guro-gu Mayor Moon Heon-il, social economy enterprise representatives, related institution officials, and local residents, will participate in the event to contribute to the revitalization of the social economy.

In addition, well-prepared programs such as cookie icing, pottery experience, pop-up book making, Dokdo puzzle assembling, and handmade Makgeolli making will allow participants to directly understand the characteristics of the social economy and experience its products.
