Yeongdeungpo-gu Recruiting 22 Participants for 'Youth Dreamnarae Job Program'

Focusing on strengthening youth employment capabilities and creating various quality jobs



Yeongdeungpo-gu (District Mayor Choi Ho-kwon) announced that it is recruiting participants for the ‘2023 Second Half Youth Dreamnarae Job’ program, which provides young people with opportunities to gain experience in public administration jobs to help alleviate unemployment and stabilize livelihoods.


Started in 2022, the Youth Dreamnarae project has gained great popularity among young people, attracting strong interest in applications. The district aims to provide youth with experience in administrative agency work to improve job skills, explore suitable careers, gain practical experience, and support employment in their desired fields.


In the first half of this year, about 20 young people participated and gained diverse work experience at social welfare facilities, cultural welfare spaces, and more.


Eligibility requires youth aged 18 to 39 residing in the district. However, priority is given to those whose household income is below 70% of the median income and whose assets are under 400 million KRW.

The number of recruits is a total of 22, including ▲Administrative assistants at the district office (3) ▲Administrative and welfare helpers at neighborhood community centers (8) ▲Administrative assistants at public institutions (7) ▲Library operation support (3) ▲Guidance for household waste disposal (1). Participants will work five days a week, six hours a day, from July 3 to November 30. The hourly wage is 11,157 KRW, with weekly holiday pay provided for full attendance.


Youth wishing to participate can apply in person at the neighborhood community center with jurisdiction over their registered residence by June 8. The selection results will be announced on the district website on the 29th, and selected candidates will be notified individually.


The district is leading youth engagement in the 8th term of the elected government by opening the Seoul Youth Center Yeongdeungpo Orang. To strengthen youth capabilities, quality educational programs such as elevator technician certification courses have been established, and youth policy governance is being operated to facilitate youth communication.


Additionally, various jobs such as youth internships and New Deal jobs are being created, and efforts are being intensified to build economic and psychological safety nets for single-person household youth.


Choi Ho-kwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo-gu, stated, “The Youth Dreamnarae project is Yeongdeungpo’s representative youth job support program, offering a great opportunity to gain social experience and administrative work on site. We will continue to provide generous support not only by creating public jobs but also by linking to private employment for young people taking their first steps into society.”
