Dobong-gu (Mayor Oh Eon-seok) is holding a special Carbon Zero Mileage event throughout June in celebration of Environment Day (June 5).
The theme for the June event is ‘Let’s Protect the Earth with Our Children!’, designed to encourage carbon-neutral lifestyle practices starting from adolescence, when habits are formed.
The event runs from 10 a.m. on June 1 to 5 p.m. on June 30. New youth members born after January 1, 2005, will receive 2,000 mileage points, and guardians who refer their children will receive 500 mileage points as special rewards.
Additionally, members who participate in the ‘Dobong-gu Zero-C Launch Ceremony and Carbon Neutral Practice Resolution Rally’ held on June 10 and upload certification photos will receive 1,000 mileage points as a special bonus.
Details on the event and how to participate can be found through the Carbon Zero Mileage app (under Notices or Practice Items).
Mayor Oh Eon-seok of Dobong-gu stated, “Through this June event, I hope the future generation growing up will take an interest in the global challenge of carbon neutrality and find opportunities to practice it in daily life. We ask for the interest and participation of many people.”
Carbon Zero Mileage is an environmental mileage program independently developed by Dobong-gu to respond to the climate crisis by practicing 41 carbon-neutral activities in daily life. It is the first in the nation to offer incentives in the form of local currency, Dobong Love Gift Certificates. Since its launch on April 3, it has attracted 1,821 members and has seen over 20,000 carbon-neutral activities practiced, receiving enthusiastic response.
