The Blue Sea and Pure White Scenery ... Homiban Peninsula Landscape Agriculture Complex, Buckwheat Flowers in Full Bloom A buckwheat flower field established in the Homiban-do Scenic Agricultural Complex.

Established in 2018, the Homibando Scenic Agricultural Complex offers a diverse array of attractions over more than 100,000 pyeong each year, including canola flowers, colored barley, buckwheat flowers, and sunflowers. This year, the area is being expanded to 50 hectares (150,000 pyeong).

The large-scale buckwheat flower field is currently located right next to the Sunrise Plaza, allowing visitors to enjoy the pure white scenery along with the blue sea of the East Coast.

The city is creating the buckwheat flower fields in two phases to continuously provide attractions, and in addition to buckwheat flowers, sunflowers will also be planted to delight citizens’ eyes.

Following the blooming of the first-phase buckwheat flower field, the second-phase buckwheat flower field and sunflowers will bloom from July to September to welcome citizens and tourists.

A representative from Pohang City said, “We are pleased that the buckwheat flowers have successfully bloomed following the canola flowers this year, allowing us to present them to citizens and tourists,” and added, “We will continue to strive to provide diverse attractions at the Homibando Scenic Agricultural Complex.”
