Release of Audiobook Using Announcer AI Voice
AI Voices Created for 17 Active Announcers
Promoting AI Audiobook Creation for Everyone
On the 31st, KT announced that it will release four audiobooks produced with Millie's Library using the 'Announcer AI Voice' of the KT AI Voice Studio. The Announcer AI Voice was implemented with KT AI Voice Studio's 'My AI Voice' technology, which can create AI voices with vivid emotions by recording only 30 sentences. It features clear pronunciation and accurate delivery. So far, AI voices of 17 active announcers, including announcer Park So-young, have been produced.
The Announcer AI Voice audiobooks were carefully selected and produced with four cultural and self-development books that suit the announcers' voices. These include 'Money and My Work' by Lee Won-ji and 12 other authors, 'Life Study That Changes Tomorrow' by Shin Jin-sang, 'Reading 30 Great Economics Classics in One Book' by Hong Ki-hoon, and 'Snack Humanities' by Timesnack. Notably, 'Money and My Work' was produced with the AI voice of announcer Kim Dae-ho, who gained attention on MBC's 'I Live Alone.'
Starting with the release of the audiobooks, KT and Millie's Library will actively utilize the strengths of both companies and KT's media value chain to create synergy. They plan to apply the technology to docent services at art galleries and museums, as well as announcement services for corporations and public institutions. Additionally, a service is being prepared that allows ordinary people, not just announcers, to use the 'My AI Voice' technology to create AI audiobooks with their own voices and share them with their families.
Choi Jun-gi, head of KT AI/Big Data Business Division, said, “The Announcer AI Voice audiobooks presented in collaboration with Millie's Library will contribute to the popularization of the audio content market in the future,” adding, “KT will continue to lead innovation in the content market by combining generative AI technology capabilities with the content capabilities of KT group companies.”
