[One Day Walk] A Perfect Walking Course for Reflection... Bomun Station Seojeong-gil

The course introduced this time is Bomun Station on Line 6. The route ends at Seongsin Women's University Entrance Station after passing Bomunsa Temple, Seongbukcheon Riverside Tree-lined Street, Donam-dong Catholic Church, and Donam Market.

Bomunsa Temple near Bomun Station was once a place with many nun training centers. Although the temple has existed for over 900 years, few traces of the past remain because it primarily functioned as a place for spiritual practice. The beautifully arranged walking trail behind Bomunsa is a great space for contemplation but is closed at night.

Upon leaving Bomunsa, a traditional market catches the eye. At one time, street vendors lined along Seongbukcheon, but redevelopment has greatly reduced its size. Leaving here and following the path along Seongbukcheon, crossing the road in front of Bomun 3 Bridge and entering the alley leads to Bomun-dong Second Development District. This area is filled with modern-style houses and is a scenery gradually disappearing. It is also partially included in the living area depicted in the novel "That Man's House" by the late author Park Wan-seo, which is set during the Korean War.

After exploring the alleys, head toward Seongbukcheon and walk along it. Heading toward the Inchon-ro area, you will find the Seongbukcheon Riverside Tree-lined Street standing side by side. Walking a little further leads to Donam-dong Catholic Church. Built in October 1955, this church is made of granite, adding to its grandeur.

Just before Seongbuk 3 Bridge, take the entrance/exit road toward Seongsin Women's University Entrance Station, and you will find Donam Market. The market is famous for a 50-year-old gamjatang (pork bone soup) restaurant and sundae gimbap (blood sausage rice rolls) shop. Being close to Seongsin Women's University Entrance Station, it also attracts many young visitors. After exploring the market, head toward Exit 3 of Line 4 Seongsin Women's University Entrance Station, and today's journey ends.
