Younglimwon Soft Lab Recognized for 'Gender Employment Equality'... Presidential Citation in Meritorious Person Category

The "Exemplary Contributor to Gender Equality in Employment Award," hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, is an annual event that discovers and honors individuals and outstanding companies leading the realization of gender equality in employment to expand employment opportunities for women and promote a workplace culture that balances work and family life. This year, a total of 11 individuals and 25 companies were selected.

Younglimwon Soft Lab’s Executive Director Hong Ki-hwa was highly recognized for contributions to establishing a corporate culture promoting gender equality in employment and work-family balance, including ▲providing equal employment opportunities for men and women ▲offering care leave beyond legal standards ▲providing sabbatical leave ▲implementing a paid leave system for personal reasons (up to one year) ▲supporting joint workplace daycare centers ▲providing monthly childcare allowances for employees with multiple children ▲and enabling telecommuting and smart workations.

In fact, Younglimwon Soft Lab maintains an annual female recruitment rate of over 31%, with women currently accounting for more than 34% of all employees. Additionally, based on individual capabilities, the company strives to place female employees in as diverse roles as possible, with women comprising 41% of developers, 47% of consultants, and 12% of management support staff among the total female workforce.

Younglimwon Soft Lab spares no effort not only in creating a work environment that supports work-family balance but also in enhancing employees’ job skills by fully covering tuition fees for business graduate schools and overseas training expenses.

Executive Director Hong Ki-hwa of Younglimwon Soft Lab said, “Since its founding, Younglimwon Soft Lab has viewed men and women equally in terms of employment and has strived to provide equal employment opportunities. We have also paid close attention in many ways to ensure that female employees do not face career interruptions due to childbirth and childcare. I am very pleased and honored that these efforts have been recognized.”

She added, “I believe that when corporate members feel happiness and high satisfaction, the future of the company naturally brightens as well. While improving systems is important in the changing labor market environment, swift innovation by the company itself is even more crucial. We will continue to take the lead in creating a corporate culture that all employees can enjoy together.”
