Targeting enrolled or on-leave college students (junior college or higher) registered in Geumcheon-gu
Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) is recruiting participants for the ‘2023 Summer Vacation College Student Part-time Job’ until June 7th.
The number of recruits is a total of 100, with 30 ‘priority selections’ and 70 ‘general selections.’ Selected college students will be assigned to the district office, community service centers, and related institutions during the working period, performing administrative support tasks as well as various district government duties.
The applicants must be enrolled or on leave from a junior college or higher and registered as residents in Geumcheon-gu as of the announcement date (May 29). However, those who have worked as college student part-time workers within the past two years, prospective college students, expected graduates, graduate students, students of broadcasting and communication universities, cyber universities, academic credit bank system (academy) students, and foreign university students are excluded.
The ‘priority selection’ targets include those designated as recipients of the National Basic Livelihood Security or near-poverty class or their children, multicultural families, households with three or more children, persons with disabilities themselves (registered under the Disability Welfare Act), North Korean defectors themselves, national veterans themselves, or those with more than 100 hours of volunteer service after entering college.
Selected workers will work for 5 hours a day, 5 days a week, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. according to the schedule of their workplace for 4 weeks starting July 3. The daily wage, including lunch allowance, is 55,785 KRW, and if all working days are completed, approximately 1.32 million KRW will be paid.
College students wishing to participate can apply through the ‘Integrated Reservation’ service on the Geumcheon-gu Office website.
Geumcheon-gu will select the final candidates through a public computerized lottery on June 12 and announce the results on the district office website. Final candidates will be notified individually.
Yu Seong-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, stated, “The college student part-time job system is a great program that allows college students preparing to enter society to gain diverse work experience while contributing to their local community.” He added, “We hope for much interest and participation in this summer vacation college student part-time job recruitment.”
