Geu In-mo, Mayor of Geochang County, Visits Training Site of Gyeongnam Provincial Sports Festival Athletes

Wishing Success for 522 Athletes Representing Geochang-gun

County Governor Gu In-mo visited the training sites of the athletes participating in the 62nd Gyeongsangnam-do Residents Sports Festival, which will be held from June 9, to encourage the team on the 30th of last month.

Governor Gu sequentially visited the gateball court, archery range, golf course, park golf course, ground golf course within Geochang Sports Park, and the weightlifting gym at Daeseong Ilgo High School to cheer on the athletes and observe their training process.

Governor Gu In-mo is encouraging the athletes during his visit to the training site of the Gyeongnam Provincial Sports Festival.

Governor Gu said, "I hope all the athletes will demonstrate the skills they have honed to the fullest in their best condition and achieve all their goals," adding, "The 60,000 residents of the county support the athletes together."

Meanwhile, the athletes participating in the Gyeongnam Residents Sports Festival have been training diligently since May 8 at more than 20 training venues, including the auxiliary stadium of Geochang Sports Park, to achieve excellent results.

The 62nd Gyeongnam Residents Sports Festival will be held for four days from June 9 to 12 throughout Tongyeong City. Geochang County will send a total of 522 athletes?243 high school division and 279 general division?competing in 27 events. On June 9, they will hold a send-off ceremony at the Geochang County Gymnasium before departing for Tongyeong City, where the festival will take place.
