In the video, a delivery vehicle enters an apartment complex on the 2nd. Delivery driver Mr. A gets out of the vehicle, gathers the packages to be delivered to each household, and begins his deliveries.

Soon, Mr. A appears in the apartment flowerbed, suddenly lowers his posture, sits down, looks around, and then pulls the slingshot. He shoots the slingshot at the apartment window, breaking the glass, and calmly leaves the scene.

After receiving a report, the police arrived at the scene, confirmed the damage, and analyzed the closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage to identify the suspect. The police searched the area for the vehicle the suspect used to escape and eventually found Mr. A preparing for delivery at another location.

Initially denying the crime, Mr. A admitted to the offense only after the police showed him the CCTV footage and questioned him. The police arrested Mr. A on charges of special property damage and are investigating the detailed circumstances of the case.

A Man Who Shot Steel Marbles with a Slingshot at an Apartment Was Also Caught Last Month

This is not the first case of breaking apartment windows by shooting steel marbles with a slingshot. Last month, a man in his 40s, Mr. B, who had been roaming high-rise apartment complexes for over a year shooting steel marbles with a slingshot and breaking windows, was caught by the police.

Mr. B is suspected of shooting steel marbles with a diameter of 7?8 mm at 34 locations, including private homes and common windows in four apartment complexes in Bucheon-si, Gyeonggi-do, from July 2021 to September last year, causing window damage.

During the police investigation, Mr. B reportedly stated, "At first, I set up cans in a quiet place and shot the slingshot. Later, I got bored and shot steel marbles at high floors of apartments. I was scared of the slingshot I used in the crime, so I threw it away."
