Woori Bank Sponsors Musical for Single-Parent and Multicultural Families in Jung-gu

Spent Meaningful Time with Family Watching the Musical Mamma Mia at Chungmu Art Center on May 26

May is a month to reflect on the meaning of family and convey heartfelt feelings, even among those who have been distant.

In May, the Family Month, Jung-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Kim Gilsung) held a special event for residents who usually find it difficult to watch performances with their families amid their busy daily lives.

Woori Bank Jung-gu Branch (Branch Manager Jeong Hee-chan) generously donated 110 tickets worth 10 million KRW for the musical Mamma Mia to about 40 single-parent and multicultural families in Jung-gu.

The families who received the tickets watched the musical Mamma Mia together at Chungmu Art Center on the evening of the 26th.

Sujinsa, an accessory company in Namdaemun Market (CEO Ahn Sujin), also added their support. They prepared sandwiches and drinks for the families who came directly to the event after work.

One resident who attended the performance said, “It was a very special experience to watch a musical that is usually hard to access due to the high ticket prices. Having snacks made it even more satisfying. I would like to express my gratitude to those who provided this meaningful opportunity.”

Kim Gilsung, Mayor of Jung-gu, said, “I hope our residents had a joyful time with their families, and I extend my thanks to Woori Bank Jung-gu Branch and Sujinsa for their special gifts. We will continue to actively support more meaningful sponsorships in the future.”
