Overhaul of Overseas Usage Website 'Global Plus'

Shinhan Card has launched a new product that waives overseas usage fees and allows unlimited accumulation of a portion of the usage amount.

Shinhan Card announced on the 30th that it has launched the 'Shinhan Card Glovers.' This specialized product was introduced considering the recovery of demand for overseas travel and overseas direct purchases.

The strength of Shinhan Card Glovers is that fees incurred when making card payments overseas are waived. Without any separate charging, account opening, or currency exchange conditions, the international brand fee of 1% and the overseas service fee of 0.18% are waived. Additionally, if the previous month's spending exceeds 300,000 KRW, 1.7% of the overseas usage amount is accumulated as points without any limit. This effectively provides benefits of about 2.9% of the overseas usage amount without any special procedures or conditions.

Also, if the previous month's spending exceeds 300,000 KRW, benefits such as ▲free entry to Incheon Airport lounges twice a year ▲free valet parking at Incheon Airport three times a month ▲0.7% point accumulation on domestic usage amounts without limit are provided. The annual fee is 25,000 KRW for the overseas-compatible (Master Platinum) card.

Meanwhile, Shinhan Card has also revamped the website 'Global Plus,' which gathers overseas usage benefits in one place. It has been reorganized into sections such as ▲'Global Party Pack,' which collects overseas promotional events ▲'Everything about Travel,' where users can check journey-specific services from airline tickets and accommodations to duty-free discounts and overseas local merchant benefits ▲'Convenient/Safe Overseas Use,' which gathers overseas payment and card usage-related services such as near-field communication (NFC) overseas payment registration, overseas usage installment reservation service, KRW payment blocking, and overseas usage safety settings (FDS). In addition, various prize giveaways, point accumulation, and facility usage benefits are also being offered.
