Changwon Special City Signs 140.6 Billion KRW Investment Agreement with Romansys and DI System

Three Companies in Railroad, Home Appliances, and Logistics Sectors Decide on New Expansion Investments

Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam Province, signed investment agreements totaling 140.6 billion KRW and creating 180 new jobs with three companies?Romansys, DI System, and Naigai Busan Logistics Center?at the ‘2023 Gyeongsangnam-do Investment Attraction Roadshow’ held on the 30th at the Grand Moment Youth Hostel in Nam-gu, Busan.


Romansys is a railway company based in Changwon that manufactures railway vehicle parts and complete vehicles. By 2026, it plans to invest 82.5 billion KRW to expand its existing maintenance factory, painting factory, and R&D center, creating 60 new jobs.


DI System, an air conditioner heat exchanger manufacturer based in Gimhae, plans to invest 32.1 billion KRW by 2025 to establish a new Changwon plant within the Changwon National Industrial Complex and create 20 new jobs.

Naigai Busan Logistics Center, a logistics company located in the New Port North Container Hinterland Complex, plans to invest 26 billion KRW by 2024 to build a logistics warehouse in the Ungdong Hinterland Complex and create 100 new jobs.


The ‘2023 Gyeongsangnam-do Investment Attraction Roadshow,’ attended by about 150 CEOs from companies in the Yeongnam region, featured corporate networking, presentations on investment environment and support systems, investment agreements, and customized investment consultations.


The city operated an investment promotion pavilion under the theme ‘The Best Investment for the Next 50 Years’ and conducted one-on-one on-site consultations and investment consulting, attracting significant interest from participating companies.


Mayor Hong Nam-pyo stated, “Changwon is now advancing toward National Industrial Complex 2.0 based on 50 years of history of the National Industrial Complex,” adding, “We will spare no administrative support to ensure that today’s investments become the best investments for the next 50 years.”
