Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, conducted the ‘Dong(東)Neraipeu Spot Seminar Fam Tour.’
The district hosted a fam tour on the 26th and 27th, inviting over 40 tourism industry experts, including representatives from domestic national research institutes, academic experts, and tourism companies.
‘Dong(東)Neraipeu’ is a lifestyle tourism travel platform unique to Dong-gu that started in September last year. It is a travel product where visitors stay in Dong-gu for a certain period and fully enjoy humanities, arts, history, nature, and more, experiencing life like a local.
This fam tour was conducted over one night and two days, with participants attending expert seminars held at major tourist attractions such as Dong-gu Humanities Hall, ACC, and Jeonil Building 245, and visiting various tourism content sites like Dongmyeong-dong Traveler’s ZIP (House) and Dongridan-gil Cafe Street.
At the seminar held at the National Asian Culture Complex, there was a Q&A session regarding the realization of a ‘stay-type cultural tourism city’ with startup company representatives selected for the ‘2023 Gwangju Arts Tourism Support Project.’
Following this, in a special invited lecture, ▲ Nam Ki-young, Professor of Industrial Design at KAIST (Local Creator Community Anchoring), ▲ Kim Hyang-ja, Professor of Urban Sociology at the University of Seoul (Gwangju Night Tourism City Specialization Strategy), and ▲ Seo Jun-won, Director of the Environmental Planning Institute at Seoul National University (Story Map for Branding the Green Path) analyzed and discussed the tourism potential and value unique to Dong-gu.
