GS Construction's 'Sangmu Central Xi,' being built in Ssangchon-dong, Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (former Honam University Ssangchon Campus site), has captivated local housing demanders. The Sangmu Central Xi housing exhibition hall, which opened on the 26th (Friday), attracted a total of over 20,000 visitors over four days, including Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and the substitute holiday on Monday, achieving great success. The location within the Sangmu district, where Gwangju's core infrastructure facilities are concentrated, along with specialized floor plans, products, and services, seems to have heightened the interest of housing demanders.

The Sangmu Central Xi housing exhibition hall was bustling with crowds. The waiting line formed even before the opening on the first day continued until closing time.

Mr. Ko (42), residing in Bongseon-dong, Nam-gu, Gwangju, said, "I planned to visit the housing exhibition hall in the morning and look around leisurely, but I was surprised by the long waiting line even before the doors opened." He added, "I had been curious about what would be built on the former Honam University Ssangchon Campus site, and I visited after hearing the news that Xi apartments would be constructed there."

The interior of the housing exhibition hall was crowded with visitors all day long. In front of the model of the 'Sangmu Central Xi' complex, which had been shrouded in mystery until now, people were attentively listening to the assistants' explanations and asking questions. Visitors had to wait in line to tour the apartment units on the second floor, and the consultation desks were fully occupied every day, often exceeding closing hours.

The Kyobo Bookstore library and the 'Open Coffee Station' operated by SPC Group, located on the first floor, also attracted visitors' attention. These facilities are planned exclusively for Sangmu Central Xi residents, and demonstration spaces were set up in the exhibition hall to allow demanders to experience them in advance.

Ms. Kim (38), from Chipyeong-dong, Seo-gu, who visited with her child, said, "I was curious about the Kyobo Bookstore inside the housing exhibition hall, but I was told that a small library within the complex would be stocked with Kyobo Bookstore curated books." She added, "As a parent, I think it will be good educationally, and I really like that we can access high-quality books in various genres."

Prospective newlyweds also responded positively. Mr. Park (34), from Hak-dong, Dong-gu, who is about to get married, said, "I am considering the exclusive 84㎡ unit, and the floor plan seems well designed, comparable to larger units, with ample storage space, making it suitable for long-term living even after having a baby." He added, "Many items, including Miele appliances, are provided as standard, so both my girlfriend and I plan to use our subscription savings accounts for the application."

Sangmu Central Xi provides premium German kitchen furniture as standard in all 903 households. The luxury kitchen furniture brands include 'Sie Matic,' renowned worldwide for its high reputation; 'LEICHT,' a premium kitchen furniture brand established in 1928; and 'nobilia,' the number one kitchen furniture brand in the European market, each applied according to the unit type. Additionally, appliances from the German global brand 'Miele' and the Italian luxury hood 'Falmec,' which gained attention from the movie 'Parasite,' will also be installed.

There was also interest in the community facilities. Sangmu Central Xi will feature the sky lounge 'Club Cloud,' offering panoramic views of Gwangju city and Mudeungsan Mountain, and Gwangju's first premium residents-only theater 'CGV SALON.' The complex will include a fitness center equipped with premium exercise machines from TechnoGym, an indoor golf practice range with GDR screen equipment at every station, and three types of guest houses.

Access to the entire Gwangju city is convenient via Sangmu-daero, located in front of the complex, and it is easy to use Uncheon Station on Gwangju Subway Line 1. Additionally, Gwangju Songjeong Station, Gwangju Airport, and the comprehensive bus terminal are nearby, along with shopping facilities such as Lotte Mart Max, Shinsegae Department Store, and E-Mart. Furthermore, schools including Seogwang Elementary, Sangil Middle, Sangil Girls' High, and Sangmu High are densely located nearby. The 5.18 Memorial Park, a representative park of Gwangju, is within walking distance, and Uncheon Lake Park is also adjacent.

Meanwhile, anyone aged 19 or older with a subscription savings account for at least six months can apply for Sangmu Central Xi. Both household heads and members, as well as multiple homeowners, can apply for first-priority subscription. Resale of the pre-sale rights is allowed six months after the announcement of winners. There is no restriction on re-winning the subscription. Also, all units have exclusive areas of 84㎡ or more, increasing the chances of winning for demanders with low scores. Currently, for Gwangju Metropolitan City's first-priority score-based and lottery systems, units with 84㎡ exclusive area are allocated 40% by score and 60% by lottery, while units exceeding 85㎡ exclusive area are 100% by lottery.

The sales schedule proceeds with special supply on June 5 (Monday), first priority on June 7 (Wednesday), and second priority on June 8 (Thursday). The announcement of winners is on June 14 (Wednesday), and the official contract period is from June 26 (Monday) to June 28 (Wednesday) for three days.

Meanwhile, Sangmu Central Xi is being developed with 14 buildings ranging from three basement floors to a maximum of 30 floors above ground, totaling 903 households with exclusive areas ranging from 84 to 247㎡. By exclusive area, there are 438 units of 84㎡, 326 units of 125㎡, 54 units of 150㎡, 42 units of 185㎡, 30 units of 205㎡, and 13 units of 157~247㎡ T type. Notably, the 157~247㎡ T type is a studio terrace house designed as a duplex on the first and second floors, boasting rarity.

Move-in is scheduled for April 2025.
