LS Selects Actor Lim Won-hee as Advertising Model... Chairman Koo Ja-eun Makes Surprise Appearance in Commercial Video
The LS commercial video featuring actor Lim Won-hee’s ‘Challenge as LS Advertising Model’ has surpassed 5 million cumulative views. Ku Ja-eun, Chairman of LS Group, made a surprise appearance in the commercial video, showing special affection.
On the 30th, LS Group announced that it produced a digital commercial for YouTube based on the concept of ‘LS’s eco-friendly electricity and power technology driving Korean companies,’ and released it through the group’s official YouTube channel, LS TV. This is the second time LS has produced a broadcast commercial since the first one announcing the group’s launch and unveiling the LS CI in 2005.
They selected actor Lim Won-hee as the advertising model and produced a total of four short commercial videos depicting the process of him receiving the LS model casting request and preparing for it.
As of the end of May, the four commercials have recorded over 5 million cumulative views within three weeks of upload, receiving about 1,000 comments, gaining great response.

In particular, Ku, who declared Vision 2030 earlier this year and is leading the group’s second leap, made a surprise appearance in two vlog-style videos. In the videos, Ku said, “None of this works without LS,” and “LS will become a global comprehensive energy solution company.” Ku showed special interest by personally devising and proposing the key copy of this commercial, ‘Technology that moves the future world, LS,’ to the production team.
This digital commercial production and broadcast is part of LS Group’s ‘Promoting the LS Brand’ campaign launched this year. An LS official explained the planning intent, saying, “Through this commercial, we wanted to let people know that LS safely delivers precious electricity to our daily lives and that LS’s technological capabilities are embedded behind Korea’s leading companies,” and added, “We focused on combining the friendly images of LS and actor Lim Won-hee with humor to deliver the LS brand to the public in an easy and entertaining way.”
