Hanjin, 'Slow Recipe'... "Leading Eco-Friendly Activities"

Hanjin is putting more effort into eco-friendly activities through ‘Slow Recipe,’ a platform it operates as a leader in environmental initiatives.

On the 30th, Slow Recipe announced that it supports distribution, sales, and logistics services for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) producing excellent eco-friendly and vegan products in Korea to enter overseas markets, through its ‘Eco-friendly Direct Overseas Shopping Mall’ opened in February last year in line with the global market trend of increasing demand for eco-friendly products.

Hanjin, 'Slow Recipe'... "Leading Eco-Friendly Activities"

In April, Slow Recipe held the first-ever overseas pop-up event in the logistics industry in Los Angeles, USA, to establish a foothold for brands registered on Slow Recipe to pioneer overseas sales channels. The event actively promoted the brands to local influencers, media, and general customers interested in Sustainable Lifestyle and Vegan concepts.

Hanjin continues its eco-friendly logistics activities, including building electric vehicle charging infrastructure and solar power facilities, pilot operation of cargo bikes as part of eco-friendly delivery activities, operating the eco-friendly companion platform ‘Green On Hanjin,’ and developing 100% recyclable eco-friendly packaging materials.

Among these, Slow Recipe is the first direct overseas shopping mall established in the logistics industry to focus on supporting eco-friendly activities as well as helping SMEs pioneer overseas sales channels. Since establishing the Digital Platform Business Division in April to consolidate and intensively nurture various platforms previously divided among Hanjin’s business units, it has been gaining more attention both domestically and internationally.

In fact, the distribution and fashion industries have recently been expanding the operation of fashion and lifestyle platforms focused on eco-friendly and sustainable products. Slow Recipe’s sales volume has nearly doubled in May compared to January this year, showing a continuous increase in consumer interest.

A Hanjin official said, “The recognition of Slow Recipe and the brands registered on it is gradually increasing through various domestic and international activities. We will continue to serve as a stepping stone for SMEs to pioneer overseas sales channels and focus on environmentally friendly management activities.”
