Pohang City will newly launch the ‘2023 EBS Pohang Smart Learning’ project from June to support English learning for middle and high school students and citizens in the area.

‘Pohang Smart Learning’ is an English education platform designed for self-directed learning, providing essential English study content such as listening, vocabulary, and grammar based on EBS English study materials. It also offers practical mock exams structured identically to the CSAT, as well as features like a wrong-answer note and vocabulary book.

In the second half of the year, additional content including syntax reading comprehension and English book reading materials for elementary students will be introduced.

This project is being implemented for the first time this year, and any Pohang citizen can access the ‘Pohang Smart Learning’ application or the dedicated Pohang City website, register as a member, and use it free of charge. Jung Jin-cheol, Director of the City’s Education and Youth Division, said, “With support from the Pohang Smart Learning project, we expect that youth and general citizens will be able to develop practical English skills useful in daily life without restrictions of time and place,” and added, “We hope many students and citizens interested in English learning will make use of this service.”
