SR Designated as an Excellent Company for 'Information Security Investment Disclosure' for 4 Consecutive Years

First Subordinate Agency of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Designated for 4 Consecutive Years

SRT operator Korea National Railway SR (SR) announced on the 25th that it has been designated as an 'Excellent Company for Information Security Investment Disclosure in 2023' by the Ministry of Science and ICT.

The information security investment disclosure system is a system under the "Act on the Promotion of Information Security Industry" that requires companies to disclose information about their information security investment activities to promote safe internet use for users and to activate corporate information security investments. Accordingly, information and communication service providers are required to disclose information compulsorily; however, SR, as a public institution, is not subject to mandatory disclosure but voluntarily conducts disclosure.

SR discloses △information security investment status △information security professional personnel status △information security certification status △user information security activity details, and for the fourth consecutive year, it has been designated as an excellent institution for the first time among Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport-affiliated organizations, following last year.

Meanwhile, SR maintains seven types of domestic and international information security certifications, including ISMS-P (Information Security and Personal Information Protection Management System Certification), and strives to provide more transparent information to the public.
