According to the police on the 30th, labor organizations will hold a large-scale rally and march with about 10,000 participants in Seoul the following day. As a result, some roads in the downtown area will be restricted.
The labor organizations will hold preliminary gatherings at Seodaemun Station, the Employment and Labor Office, Samgakji Station, and Seoul National University Hospital, then begin marching toward Sejong-daero from 2:30 PM. From 4 PM, a large-scale rally is scheduled within the section from Sejong Intersection to City Hall Intersection.
To minimize traffic congestion, the police will operate reversible lanes on Sejong-daero between Sejong Intersection and City Hall Intersection during the rally. About 220 traffic police officers will be deployed around the rally and march routes to manage traffic flow, including vehicle detours.
A police official said, "Severe congestion is expected on Sejong-daero, Jongno, and Euljiro areas in the downtown district," and added, "We strongly recommend using public transportation such as the subway, and if using a vehicle, to check traffic information in advance."
