Incheon Technopark (Incheon TP) and the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority are recruiting startups to participate in the 'Smart-X Eco (LG Science Park) Program' until the 22nd of next month.
This program is part of the demonstration bridge project of Incheon Startup Park, supporting the growth of innovative startups in the eco-friendly sector through LG Science Park's demonstration resources (infrastructure, data, experts).
The demonstration fields include ▲smart energy metering ▲next-generation carbon emission digital transformation (DX) solutions ▲innovative products and services in the eco-friendly sector. Around three startups will be selected to receive LG Science Park's demonstration resources and up to 30 million KRW in demonstration expenses.
Additionally, startups selected as promising demonstration companies will be eligible to participate in the LG Open Innovation Festival's 'Super Start Day' and be chosen for the nurturing program 'Super Start Incubator.' Selected companies in the Super Start Incubator will receive benefits such as investment attraction, collaboration with LG affiliates, internal and external promotion, and support for office space.
Eligible applicants are startups within seven years of establishment located in the Incheon area, and startups planning to relocate to Incheon (headquarters, research center, branch) during the project period are also eligible.
An Incheon TP official stated, "This is a golden opportunity for innovative startups in the eco-friendly sector to advance their products and services through demonstration," adding, "We expect that follow-up collaboration with LG Group will greatly help the growth of these companies."
Meanwhile, LG Science Park, located in Magok, Seoul, is a research complex where 21,000 employees from eight major LG affiliates work across 22 research buildings. It serves as LG Group's R&D hub, concentrating the group's convergent research and development capabilities.
