GS Shop launches 'Shark FlexStyle' to rival Dyson Airwrap

The 'Shark Flexstyle,' gaining popularity as a rival to the 'Dyson Airwrap' in the global market, is making its debut in Korea through GS Shop.

GS Shop announced on the 30th that it will introduce the 'Shark Flexstyle' for the first time in Korea through the live commerce broadcast 'Shoppy Live' at 9 PM on June 1st and the TV home shopping broadcast 'Shop Live' at 8:35 PM on June 4th. To celebrate the launch, an event will be held offering a 20,000 KRW credit and a Starbucks coffee coupon.

The Shark Flexstyle is a hairstyler launched by the famous American home appliance company 'SharkNinja' in September last year. It has gained popularity by generating approximately 130 billion KRW in sales within seven months across seven countries including the United States, the United Kingdom, Spain, and Germany. Searching 'shark flexstyle' on YouTube reveals many overseas review videos.

Its strength lies in its price. While offering almost the same functions as competing products, it is about 200,000 to 300,000 KRW cheaper. The output of the Shark Flexstyle is 1400w, which is explained to be stronger. The main body can also be transformed into an L-shape, allowing comfortable styling without bending the arm much.

The barrel size, which is attached to the end of the main body to style hair, is also a differentiating point. The Shark Flexstyle barrel is 13 cm long and 35 mm in diameter, developed as a medium size that fits well for people of various races and hairstyles.

Oh Joon-sung, MD of the home appliance team at GS Shop, said, "In a customer survey conducted earlier this year about the Dyson Airwrap, many opinions were that 'it allows beautiful styling but the price is burdensome,' which led us to launch this product."
